This year myself and Kat have been working on something special bringing all of our knowledge together we have launched High Peak Running. The company focuses on bringing bespoke running plans, coaching and guided runs for everyone. The experience is tailored to the client.
About us:
Coach: Brennan Townshend
My life as an endurance athlete began back in 2008 when I started running competitively at college, I quickly fell in love with the training, racing and pushing my body to see how far and fast I could go. I turned to road
cycling after a running injury and rapidly rose up though the ranks winning the Junior Tour of Wales and riding for pro teams Raleigh and Madison Genesis. I raced around the world for a number of years and after trying my hand at triathlon returned to my roots and began Fell, Mountain and Trail running.
I've been having great success in the fell and ultra running world over the last few years mostly down to tweaking and developing my training and preparation. This has included wins in the Three Peaks Fell Race and British and English Fell Championship races. Coaching has been part of my life for over five years.
Coach: Kat Polyakova
I am a Russian born mountaineer. Mostly I have climbed in remote areas of Russia, now I am trying to explore the fells of the Lake District as a Fell Runner.
At the age of 7 I have summited my first Peak in Winter - Greater Chimgan (3,309 m) of the Chatkal Mountain range (the Western Tian Shan) is located in the territory of the Ugam-Chatkal National Park, and it is in the Bostanlyk administrative district (Tashkent Province) Uzbekistan. Since then mountains like Gokio Ri, Belukha, Mt Blanc,Tete Blanche, Ben Nevis and many more have been keeping me busy.
High altitude training, ice climbing, rock climbing and road/fell running has provided me with a great base to develop my run coaching. I would love to share my knowledge and build confidence in female athletes. I want to show that anyone is able to enjoy running and compete.
Last year I have successfully completed; Buttermere Sail beck, Ring of Steall, Mourne Skyline, Skiddaw and the Snowdon trail half.
